More than one SmartMusic student per household?

by James H. Anderson 30. September 2009 05:37

When two (or more) siblings are using SmartMusic at home, managing individual SmartMusic assignments can become confusing. Luckily the solution isn't to buy additional subscriptions, but only to enroll each student with a unique e-mail address.

Having done this, each student can log in using the Assignments tab, then log out in the upper-right corner of the SmartMusic program when it's someone else's turn. The same process could be used in the classroom, too, although teacher supervision is recommended.

Please be aware that a real e-mail address must be used, so each student will receive their password as well as teacher announcements and reminder e-mails. Keep in mind that you can always get a free webmail account at Gmail.com, Hotmail.com, and many other free e-mail services, and that parents should always be involved in the process of setting up a new e-mail address.

Hi Jay,

Sorry for the delayed response. I'm guessing you're talking about SmartMusic exercises, as other titles have varying tempos.

If, as a teacher, you log-in, pick an exercise, and set a tempo in that exercise, your tempo will be the default tempo.

Does that help?
